St. Anthony Civic Orchestra

The purpose of the St. Anthony Civic Orchestra is to provide continued musical education and performing opportunities for area musicians and to enhance, enrich, and expand the musical experiences available to the citizens in the area.

The St. Anthony Civic Orchestra is a non-profit organization. Its sources of support are dues paid by the performing members and contributions from interested individuals, organizations and businesses.

The St. Anthony Civic Orchestra plays a variety of music each season including: classical concerts in fall and spring, Christmas concerts, and summer pops concerts. The orchestra performs at many locations including: The St. Anthony Community Center, St. Anthony High School, retirement and nursing homes, churches, shopping centers, and parks.

Members of the orchestra are adults from all walks of life, including: consultant, engineers, teachers, nurses, dentist, psychologist, accountant, lawyer, judge, computer programmer, and homemakers. Their interests are many: music, hiking, biking, languages, photography, sewing, gardening, theater, sports, computers, needlework, cooking, birds, cars, and antiques. They all have the common interest of making music.

SACO rehearses on Thursday evenings at the St. Anthony Community Center, located at 3301 Silver Lake Road NE. The organization is funded primarily by member dues. If you are a musician and interested in becoming a member, please contact Carol Jensen at to verify that there is an opening for your instrument.
